BRAVE · Nottingham is a Professional & Peer Support based Community working to hear, support, inform & empower men & women across the East Midlands since 2019.
Our Founder is Ray Cole, who works tirelessly to ensure every man & woman is getting the support they need and deserve. But after doing it all during lockdowns she realised that she couldn't do it all alone. Ray recruited our sensational BRAVE・volunteers, and Directors Crystal Foster.
Crystal is our Operations Coordinator she keeps us all on task and ensures that BRAVE‧ has a secure foundation. Crystal makes sure individuals and projects do not slip through the cracks, making sure we are accountable to our community and trustees.
Kon-ick is our Business Director and Lead Facilitator for the Men's Groups. Kon-ick ensures BRAVE is working in the right direction for the community, while manging various projects to ensure our funding and outreach is on target.
Beginning in 2019 with a Talking Group at Nottingham Women’s Centre, we have continued to grow. In 2020 we worked with over 460 individuals. When the Covid pandemic hit we took our work online, using WhatsApp and Zoom to connect with our growing community. In December 2020 as the Nottingham Women’s Centre Peer Support Group we were nominated for and WON a Marsh Award for Innovative Peer Support.

We are supporting many individuals across the East Midlands, and this year has been particularly challenging. Donations have never been more important.

OUR CONSTITUTION
At BRAVE・Nottingham we pride ourselves on supporting the voiceless. We are a professional and Peer Led community, working to inform, support and empower those recovering from trauma and the complexities than can come with it. Practising the work of Dr Brené Brown, our Peer Support foundation allows us to offer a range of services to women with mental health needs, emotional challenged, offenders, those facing poverty, escaping abuse, women seeking to make changes in their lives, form connections or simply be. BRAVE・Nottingham is about Bringing you back to you.
We aim to support ALL individuals across the East Midlands to gain inner healing, belonging, confidence & connection. We hold a safe informative space for women to develop the emotional & mental skills to achieve their full potential, to become the strong independent women they are. We provide a safe, empowered and supportive environment for women to connect, learn & belong.
